Diamond Dawgs and Rebels throw 6 p.m. first pitch on Tuesday, April 23 at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi
STARKVILLE – The No. 9 Mississippi State baseball program continues a stretch of 10-straight games against ranked opponents, as a midweek game versus No. 23 Ole Miss arrives on Tuesday (April 23). The Governor's Cup will begin at 6 p.m. inside Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi.
The Diamond Dawgs (32-9) dropped their series at Arkansas over the weekend, while the Rebels (27-14) are coming off of a series loss at Auburn. Mississippi State will be the visiting team in this year's game, using the first base dugout.
State's run of 10-straight games against ranked foes began last weekend at then-No. 10 Arkansas and continues on Tuesday against their in-state foe. This weekend, No. 3 Georgia comes to Dudy Noble Field for a three-game series starting on April 26. A weekend series at No. 10 Texas A&M caps the stretch, albeit for one game against Memphis.
