COLUMBIA, S.C. – Midway through No. 10 Mississippi State's match at No. 29 South Carolina, persistent rains forced play to be suspended between the Bulldogs and Gamecocks at the Carolina Tennis Center.
The match will resume not before 7:30 a.m. CT on Saturday in Columbia.
State (10-2, 2-0 SEC) led 1-0 after doubles play with wins on courts 2 and 3 after the Gamecocks (10-2, 0-1) earned an advantage in the point with a win on court 1.
Four of six first sets in singles had completed, with the Bulldogs taking the first frame on courts 4 and 5, while USC held a set advantage on courts 1 and 2.
