MSU Pro Day to Air Live on SEC Network Wednesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – A total of 19 former Mississippi State football student-athletes will have one final opportunity to showcase their skills to NFL scouts and personnel and make their case to play at the next level when the Bulldogs host their annual Pro Day on Wednesday at the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex and Palmeiro Center.
The expected participant list features multiple projected first-round NFL Draft selections, former All-Americans and some of the most decorated players in program history, including the school-record eight Bulldogs who participated in the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month – safety Johnathan Abram, offensive guard Deion Calhoun, quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, defensive end Gerri Green, center Elgton Jenkins, safety Mark McLaurin, cornerback Jamal Peters and defensive end Montez Sweat.
Heading into the 2019 NFL Draft on April 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee, MSU aims to break the school record for most players selected in a single NFL Draft (six in 1995).
Coverage of MSU Pro Day will air live on SEC Network from 8:30 a.m. to noon CT. Matt Stinchcomb will be on site, and Dari Nowkhah, Gene Chizik and Jordan Rodgers will be in the studio. NFL Network also will be on hand, and portions of its coverage will air on Path to the Draft, Up To The Minute and Total Access.
Players will have an opportunity to go through multiple measurable drills, including the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill and shuttle run, and then conclude the day with position workouts on site.
