Women's Golf in Fourth through Two Rounds at Clover Cup

MESA, Ariz. – Junior Ela Grimwood, sophomore Aubree Jones and freshman Hannah Levi all birdied the 18th hole on Saturday to help Mississippi State sit in fourth place at the Clover Cup heading into Sunday's final round.
Looking for their third straight top-five finish of the season, the Bulldogs shot a 305 (+17) on Saturday at the Longbow Golf Club (Par 72; 6,184 yards) and are currently at 27-over 603 after 36 holes. MSU trails only No. 1 USC (585, +9), No. 24 Oklahoma (598, +22) and Kentucky (599, +23) going into Sunday.
Three Bulldogs are in the top 25 on the player leaderboard with Jones tied for sixth, Levi tied for 12th and Grimwood tied for 25th.
Jones followed her 72 in the first round with a 75 on Saturday. She birdied three times, including twice on the back nine, and leads the team with eight through the first 36 holes.
Levi's birdie at No. 18 helped her to a 73 on the day after carding a 76 in the first round on Friday.
Grimwood and Miller each made a pair of birdies for the second straight round. Grimwood closed out the day with a 6-over 78, while Miller finished 7-over 79 and is tied for 36th.
Playing as an individual, senior Kendall Wisenbaker carded an 8-over 80 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs return to the course Sunday morning for the final round, teeing off at 9 a.m. CT. Live scoring will be available at BirdieFire.com.
