STARKVILLE – No. 5/5 Mississippi State is headed to College Station, Texas, to meet Texas A&M on Sunday. The Bulldogs and the No. 22/23 Aggies will tip off at 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network with Courtney Lyle and Nell Fortner on the call.

The Bulldogs are tied for first place in the SEC with South Carolina. State leads the SEC in field goal percentage (49.6 percent), assist/turnover ratio (1.3), assists (17.1 apg), rebound margin (+14.8), offensive rebounding (18.2 rpg) and scoring offense. MSU also boasts the only two players in the top 10 in the league in both scoring and rebounding in Anriel Howard and Teaira McCowan.
Howard is returning to her prior school where she set Texas A&M's career rebound record in just three seasons. MSU has won the last five meetings with the Aggies.
Sunday's matchup will see two of the most-improved players in the league take the floor. Jordan Danberry is averaging 13.0 ppg, 10.2 ppg more than last year. That marks the second-largest scoring increase in the conference behind only the Aggies' Kayla Wells (+11.3 ppg).
The Bulldogs meet Ole Miss in Oxford next week on Thursday, Feb. 21, for a 7 p.m. tipoff on SEC Network+.

- Jordan Danberry is averaging 13.0 points per game this season after scoring just 2.8 ppg last season. That marks the 2nd-largest scoring increase (+10.2 ppg) in the SEC this year behind only Texas A&M's Kayla Wells (+11.3 ppg).
- State forces 20.0 turnovers per game and boasts the No. 9 turnover margin in the country (+6.8).
- The Bulldogs are undefeated on Sundays with a 7-0 record and are 5-0 at home. State outscores opponents by an average of 35.4 points on Sunday, 5.4 points more than its margin the rest of the week.
- McCowan is the running for the Lisa Leslie Award for the top center and is in the top 15 in the country in blocks (2.6 bpg, 12th), field goal percentage (64.9 percent, 5th), rebounding (13.7 rpg, 2nd) and double-doubles (20, 3rd).
