Williams Earns Weekly SEC Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After a dominant effort in Mississippi State's 21-20 win against Ole Miss on Thanksgiving, senior center Darryl Williams was selected as the Southeastern Conference's Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday morning.
This is Williams' third career weekly honor from the conference. The Bessemer, Alabama, native first took home SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors following State's 37-7 victory versus LSU in 2017, and then again after the Bulldogs' 38-15 win over in-state opponent Southern Miss earlier this season.
Williams was the Bulldogs' highest grader (77.3 according to Pro Football Focus) on the offensive line against the Rebels on Thursday night. Williams did not allow a pressure on the night and paved the way for 210 rushing yards, including 67 through the middle.
Williams, a Jason Witten Man of the Year semifinalist, anchors an offensive line that has helped the Bulldogs rush for 200-plus yards an SEC-best eight times this season.
