STARKVILLE – Fresh off earning win No. 1,000 in program history, the third-ranked Mississippi State men's tennis team is set to continue its hot start to the season, hosting Miami at 2 p.m. Friday at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.
The Bulldogs (2-0) look to improve to 3-0 for the third straight year and seventh time in the last eight seasons against the Hurricanes (4-1), who are coming to Starkville having won four of their first five outings. Admission to the match is free.
"Miami is going to be a very good early test for us," head coach Matt Roberts said. "They reached the NCAA Tournament last season and bring back several key pieces from that team. They're really well-coached and we know they're going to give us a great challenge. We can't wait to get back out there on Friday and play another exciting match in front of our amazing fans at Pitts."
