Bulldogs Hold Steady in National Polls

STARKVILLE – As one of two remaining 4-0 teams in SEC play, Mississippi State's women's basketball team remained Nos. 7 and 6 in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches' polls, respectively.
The Bulldogs are the highest-ranked team in the conference and have now been ranked in the AP poll for 85 straight weeks. State has been a Top 10 team in the poll in 49 consecutive weeks, the fourth-longest streak in the nation.
MSU is among the top 15 in the country in 12 statistical categories. The Bulldogs lead the nation in scoring margin (+35.4 ppg) and are second scoring offense (91.1 ppg). State is second in blocks (6.8 bpg), second in rebound margin (+17.3), fifth in field goal percentage (50.5 percent) and sixth in rebounding (46.1 rpg).
Individually, Jazzmun Holmes leads Division I in assist/turnover ratio (4.05) and Teaira McCowan leads the country in offensive rebounding (6 rpg). McCowan is second in total rebounding (13.3 rpg) and fourth in field goal percentage (67.6 percent).
