STARKVILLE - Week Two of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at how the 21 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
Dak Prescott returned to form, leading the Dallas Cowboys to a 20-13 win against the New York Giants on Sunday night. Prescott opened the game with a 64-yard touchdown pass to Tavon Austin on the Cowboys' third play of the game. He completed 16 of his 25 passes for 160 yards and rushed seven times for a career-high 45 yards.
Defensive end Fletcher Cox continued to wreck havoc against opposing offenses. Cox collected five tackles, including 1.5 sacks, in a start at Tampa Bay. Cox currently ranks seventh in the league with 2.5 sacks. Darius Slay and Benardrick McKinney also grabbed five tackles each over Week Two.
Two Bulldog rookies earned the first starts of their career as the Houston Texans' Martinas Rankin and Jordan Thomas both picked up starts against the Tennessee Titans.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Atlanta Falcons announced the signing of cornerback Taveze Calhoun to their practice squad, making him the 21st Bulldog to join the #FromStateToSundays ranks this season.
