STARKVILLE, Miss. – Coming off of its first conference win of 2018, the Mississippi State's women's tennis team (10-5, 1-3 SEC) welcomes second-ranked Vanderbilt (11-2, 4-0 SEC) for a Thursday afternoon matchup. Last Time Out for MSU…
In their last outing, State rallied from 3-1 down for an exciting 4-3 upset against No. 49 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the Bulldogs' fourth consecutive win over the Crimson Tide. The MSU duo of Madison Harrison and Khrystyna Vozniak along with the tandem of Sara Lizariturry and Anastasia Rentouli were able to pick up the doubles point for MSU, each with convincing 6-1 victories.
After the Crimson Tide mounted a 3-1 lead early in singles, the Bulldogs roared back. True freshman Magda Adaloglou claimed her match in straight sets before Lizariturry and Rentouli overcame one-set deficits to post hard-fought, three-set comeback triumphs that gave the Bulldogs the road win.
