State Women’s Tennis Set To Host Memphis At Noon Saturday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Riding a five-match winning streak, Mississippi State's women's tennis team (7-2) returns to action Saturday, hosting Memphis (6-4) at Noon at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. Start time for the match was moved up due to the forecast for rain Saturday afternoon. The match could be moved indoors to MSU's McCarthy Gymnasium. Fans should follow @HailStateWT on Facebook and Twitter for the latest match status on Saturday.
"We are looking forward to our final match before heading into SEC play," head coach Daryl Greenan said. "Memphis has a strong team and we expect a battle. Our girls have been working hard in practice and conditioning. I am pleased with the steady progress they are making."
Last Time Out for MSU…
In their last outing, the Bulldogs outlasted Georgia State 4-1. State's duo of Magda Adaloglou and Janina Braun along with the pair of Sara Lizariturry and Anastasia Rentouli picked up doubles wins against GSU.
In singles, Khrystyna Vozniak was first off the court remaining undefeated in dual match and continuing a seven-match winning streak. Madison Harrison picked up her sixth dual match victory while true freshman Adaloglou clinched her second match for the Bulldogs. Braun fell on court 1 for the Panthers lone point.

Memphis enters the weekend 6-4 after falling in a close 4-2 decision to now 49th-ranked Missouri in Columbia this past Sunday. The Tigers are led by Hanna Sohn and Anki Wind who combine for a 14-4 singles dual match record. Sohn continues a four-match winning streak while Wind holds a six-match winning streak.
