Bulldogs Look For Season Sweep Of Vanderbilt

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Coming off a heart-breaking loss at Missouri on Saturday in overtime, Mississippi State looks to rebounds Wednesday at Vanderbilt in the second meeting between the two schools this year.
Tip at historic Memorial Gymnasium is set for 6 p.m. CT, with the game televised by the SEC Network. Roy Philpott and Brooke Weisbrod will handle the broadcast, while Neil Price and Richard Williams will have the call on the MSU radio network.
Back in January, MSU claimed an 80-62 win against the Commodores at Humphrey Coliseum.
LAST TIME OUT
Mississippi State lost in overtime at Missouri, 89-85. Lamar Peters paced the Bulldogs with 22 points.
Vanderbilt lost at Arkansas. 72-54.

- Vanderbilt was won the last three there by an average margin of 15.0 points.

- Mississippi State leads the SEC and is 39th nationally in points allowed at 66.2. MSU is also 22nd in the nation in field goal defense at 40.2 percent.
- The Bulldogs have held nine of its 12 SEC foes below their scoring average and 21 of 25 overall.
- MSU has shot 50 percent or better from the floor 10 times this year. Its streak of three straight ended against Alabama on Feb. 6. Last year, the total was eight.
