- Played in 131 career games with 117 starts. Closed his career with 96 consecutive starts dating back to the Oregon State game (Dec. 1, 2016) as a sophomore.
- One of three players in MSU history to amass over 2,000 career points joining Jeff Malone (1980-83 – 2,142 points) and Bailey Howell (1957-59 – 2,030 points). Climbed 15 spots from 18th place to third place during his senior season.
- One of five players in MSU history to average double figures in all four seasons. The list includes Rickey Brown (1977-80), Ray White (1976-79), Dee Bost (2009-12) and Craig Sword (2013-16).
- One of seven players to lead MSU in scoring during three consecutive seasons. The list includes Willard Daley (1948-50), Jim Ashmore (1955-57), Jeff Malone (1981-83), Cameron Burns (1989-91), Darryl Wilson (1994-96) and Craig Sword (2013-15).
- Secured double figures in 105 career games highlighted by 32 games of 20-plus points where MSU posted a 27-5 record. The Bulldogs won 19 of 22 games during his junior and senior seasons when Weatherspoon posted 20-plus points.
- One of three players in MSU history to notch over 200 career steals joining Ray White (1976-79 – 217 steals) and Derrick Zimmerman (2000-03 – 205 steals).
- One of 13 players in MSU history to earn three All-SEC selections during their career. The most recent player to accomplish the feat was Dee Bost in 2010-11-12.
- Knocked down six career game-winning shots. His first game-winner came on a three-pointer against Vanderbilt (Feb. 16, 2016) as a freshman and his last game-winner came on a free throw at Georgia (Feb. 20, 2019) as a senior.
- His 704 career field goals made are fourth, 413 career free throws made are fifth and 187 career three-point field goals made are seventh in program history following 2018-19 season.
- Grabbed 675 career rebounds which ranks 17th in MSU history after 2018-19 season.
2018-19 • SENIOR
- Garnered consensus All-SEC First-Team by coaches and media, United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District IV First-Team and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 21 First-Team honors.
- The last MSU players to pick up an All-SEC First-Team selection was Dee Bost and Arnett Moultrie in 2011-12 with Moultrie the last to claim USBWA and NABC All-District First-Team accolades.
- One of 10 finalists for the prestigious Jerry West Award given annually by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame to the nation’s top shooting guard.
- Captured the Bailey Howell Trophy for the second consecutive season awarded to the best male collegiate basketball player in the state of Mississippi. Weatherspoon and Jarvis Varnado (2009, 2010) are the only MSU players to win the award in back-to-back seasons.
- Named All-SEC Preseason First-Team by media and All-SEC Preseason Second-Team by coaches along with an All-America Preseason Third-Team nod from Lindy’s Magazine.
- Secured 18.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Connected on career-bests 50.8 percent from the field, 39.6 percent from three-point territory and 80.9 percent from the foul line.
- His 629 points rank sixth on MSU’s single-season list and were the most for a MSU player since Jeff Malone scored a program record 777 points during the 1982-83 season.
- Finished with 16 games of 20-plus points tied for second among SEC players with Tennessee’s Grant Williams and behind only Breein Tyree of Ole Miss.
- The 18.5 points was second, the 50.8 field goal percentage was fourth, the 80.9 free throw percentage was seventh and 1.7 steals was seventh on the SEC leaderboard.
- Pumped in 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game during SEC games. The 19.4 points were first and 1.8 steals were tied for sixth in the SEC rankings.
2018-19 • BEST GAMES
- Opened senior campaign with three consecutive 20-plus point outings highlighted by 22 points and a career-high six steals against Hartford (Nov. 11).
- Pumped in 17 of his game-leading 21 points during the second half and hauled down 12 rebounds at Dayton (Nov. 30) en route to the first of two double-doubles on the season.
- The 21 points at Dayton pushed Weatherspoon past Jerry Jenkins (1973-75) for 10th place on MSU’s scoring list.
- Filled the box score with 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists versus Clemson (Dec. 8).
- Fired in the first of five 27-point performances against BYU (Dec. 29) to extend MSU’s non-conference home winning streak to a SEC-leading 22 straight games.
- Hit a driving layup which turned into a traditional three-point play with 3.6 seconds remaining to lift MSU to a 71-68 win over Florida (Jan. 15).
- Racked up 20 of his 27 points after halftime and connected on an 11-for-11 clip at the free throw line versus No. 16 Auburn (Jan. 26).
- Registered 20-plus points in seven of his nine February games (Feb. 2-26) which included four outings during MSU’s five-game winning streak (Feb. 12-26).
- Provided 27 points, eight rebounds and four steals during MSU’s first win at Ole Miss (Feb. 2) dating back to 2010-11. Hit 4-of-5 at the free throw line inside last 69 seconds.
- Dialed up 22 points and equaled a career-best with six steals at Arkansas (Feb. 16). Teamed with Tyson Carter for 28 of their 40 combined points during second half.
- Exploded for a career-high 31 points which included the game-clinching free throw with 0.5 seconds left at Georgia (Feb. 20). Poured in 16 points to ignite a 22-1 run over a 4:48 span from the end of first half and the start of second half.
- The 31-point effort at UGA marked the seventh time that a MSU player scored 30-plus points during a SEC road game since the 1979-80 season. The last player to accomplish the feat was Craig Sword who tallied 33 points at LSU (Feb. 19, 2014). It also enabled Weatherspoon to move past Rickey Brown (1977-80) for fourth place on MSU’s scoring list.
- Collected 25 points, 11 rebounds and six assists at Auburn (March 2).
- Capped his career with 27 points versus Liberty (March 22) at NCAA Tournament. The 27 points were tied for third-most for a MSU player during a NCAA Tournament game.
2017-18 • Junior
-Appeared in all 37 games and was the only player to start all 37 games.
-Led MSU and was 14th in the SEC with his 14.4 scoring clip.
-Named second-team All-SEC.
-Scored in double-digits 30 times, and MSU was 21-9 in those outings.
-Season-high 22 points against both North Georgia and Arkansas.
-Scored 20 or more points six times, all wins. Has now scored 20-plus points 16 times in his career.
-Had a career-best 10 assists against North Dakota State.
-Had three double-digit rebounding efforts and tied his career-high with a season-best 14 against Louisville in NIT.
-Collected a team-high 52 steals.
-Tied his career-high with 4 steals against South Carolina and UT Martin.
-Posted three double-doubles on the year against Dayton (11 points, 10 rebounds), Ole Miss (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Louisville (19 points, 14 rebounds), all wins.
-For his career, MSU is 5-0 when he has a double-double.
-Had three-game winning shots against Dayton, Jacksonville State and Baylor to give him four for his career (Vanderbilt freshman season).

-In four NIT games, averaged 11.5 points. His best outing was 19 points and 14 rebounds at Louisville.

-Against Little Rock on Dec. 20, became the 37th player in school history to reach 1,000 points. Currently stands 17th all-time with 1,383 points.

2016-17 • Sophomore
-Appeared in 29 games for the Bulldogs and drew 29 starts. Missed two games due to a wrist injury that required surgery.
-Led the Bulldogs with his 16.5 scoring clip, 7th best in the SEC.
-Tabbed second-team All-SEC by the coaches.
-Career-high 29 points came against Missouri on 1-25-17.
-Named SEC Player of the Week after having 11 points versus Kentucky and 29 against Mizzou.
-Totaled 20-plus points eight times.
-Named to the Charleston Classic All-Tournament team after totaling 25 points against Boise State, 19 versus Central Florida and 9 against UTEP in limited action due to wrist injury.
-Season-high of 9 rebounds came against Tennessee (2-4-17) and Auburn (2-7-17).
-Collected 4 steals five times and paced MSU with 50.
-4th in the SEC with his 1.7 steals.
-Scored in double-digits 25 times.
-Was 8th in the SEC in minutes played at 31.9.
-151 points shy of becoming the 37th player in school history to score 1,000 for a career.

2016 Italy Tour
-In four games, average a team-high 23.3 points and 4.5 rebounds. Dished out 12 assists and had 14 steals while making 47.3 percent of his shots. After scoring 29 points in the opening game, he totaled 34 against Lithuania in Game 2.
2015-16 • Freshman
-Appeared in all 31 games for the Bulldogs and drew 17 starts.
-Was third on the team with his 12.0 scoring clip, while in SEC play he was tops at 14.9.
-Named to the SEC All-Freshman team.
-Was the SEC Freshman of the Week for the third and 15th week of the season.
-Scored a season-high 24 points against Vanderbilt on 2-16-16.
-Totaled a career-high 14 rebounds against Missouri 1-30-16.
-Posted two double-doubles with 18 points and 14 rebounds at Missouri and 16 points and 10 rebounds against Arkansas, both wins.
-Scored in double-digits 20 times and had 20-plus points twice.
-Had the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer against Vanderbilt.
-Had two plays make the ESPN Top 10.
-His 371 points were the 7th most by an MSU freshman, along with his 42 steals and 109 3-point attempts. His 42 made 3-pointers were 6th. His 12.0 scoring clip was 6th, while his 62 made free throws tied for the 10th most.
High School
-As a senior, junior and sophomore, led Velma Jackson to the Class 3A state titles.
-As a senior, averaged 19.1 points, 3.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 2.8 steals.
-Named to the Clarion-Ledger's Dandy Dozen team.
-A 4-star recruit by Scout.com that ranked as the nation's 78th-best player overall.
-Named to the American Family All-USA state team in Mississippi by USA Today.
-Scored 31 points twice in wins against Madison Central and Humphreys County. Also grabbed 13 rebounds against the Jaguars for the double-double.
-Defeated Aberdeen 76-38 in the championship game where he scored 28 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals en route to earning MVP honors.
-In the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star game, had 12 points.
-As a junior, averaged 16.7 points and 5.9 rebounds as team finished 34-2 after beating East Side 50-35 in the state championship game.
-In the title game, he totaled 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals.
-As a junior, had a season-high 29 points in win vs. Collins, while his season-high of 14 points came in a win against Forest Hill.
-As a sophomore, team defeated Booneville 45-44 in state championship game, where he had 11 points.
