February 11, 2018 | Men's Golf
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Three freshmen and a senior from the Mississippi State men's golf team will compete in the USA Individual tournament beginning Monday at Magnolia Grove Falls Golf Course in Mobile, Ala.
Freshmen Hunter Hammett, Austin Fulton and Goodman Rudolph, along with senior Jacob Ross will play as individuals, and not collectively for MSU.
"I am excited to watch these four guys compete this week," MSU men's golf head coach Dusty Smith said. "We have three Freshman making their Collegiate debuts and I can't wait to watch them compete and represent our program."
The two-day event will tee off with two rounds on Monday, and conclude on Tuesday with one final round at the par 71, 7,158-yard Magnolia Grove Falls Golf Course.
Jacob Ross finished fifth in last year's USA Individual, and will make his senior season debut Monday.
I told the guys it's always an honor to carry the State bag and wear that M-State logo on your chest," Smith said. "This will be a great opportunity for our guys this week."
Scores will be made available through Golfstat following the conclusion of play each day.
State's first team tournament begins Saturday, Feb. 17, as the Bulldogs travel to the SunTrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
