
No. 6 Bulldogs Host Furman In Wednesday Matinee

STARKVILLE – Before embarking on those Thanksgiving plans, join the No. 6 Mississippi State women's basketball team as it hosts Furman in a Wednesday afternoon matinee at Humphrey Coliseum.
Tip is set for 2 p.m., with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. The contest will be Family Day, with fans who bring a canned good getting a free general admission ticket.
In addition to fan-focused concession pricing, free Thanksgiving casseroles will be available while supplies last.
Fans can purchase tickets online at HailState.com/Tickets up to four hours before tip at the price of $5 for adults and $3 for youth age 17 and under. Walk-up general admission tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for youth.
MSU students get in free with a valid student ID, and Bully's Kids Club members also get free admission with their membership card.
Fans unable to attend can stream the game on SEC Network + via WatchESPN.com or the WatchESPN app.
The radio broadcast can be heard on the MSU Radio Network, as well as online at www.HailState.com/Plus and the TuneIn app.
Games and inflatables will be available for families at Bully's Kidz Kourt inside Mize Pavilion starting at 12:30 p.m.
The game comes a day after the Bulldogs stayed at No. 6 in the first USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll of the regular season. MSU remained in the Top 10 after starting the season 4-0.
Vic Schaefer's squad is coming off back-to-back 100-point games, including a 110-38 win against Coppin State last Sunday.
Teaira McCowan, who was tabbed to the Wade Trophy Watch List on Tuesday, paces MSU with 17.5 ppg, 12.8 rpg and a nation's-best 5.3 bpg.
SEC Player of the Week Anriel Howard enters the week averaging 14.0 ppg and 9.3 rpg. Three other Bulldogs also average double-figure points: Andra Espinoza-Hunter (12.0 ppg), Chloe Bibby (11.5 ppg) and Jordan Danberry (10.8 ppg).

- State won its 40th-straight regular-season non-conference contest with Sunday's 110-38 win against Coppin State.
- MSU has claimed 23-consecutive wins in the Hump, the fifth-longest active streak in the nation.
- Since 2014-15, MSU is 130-22, the fourth-most wins nationally in that span. Its 75 wins since 2016-17 are the most.
