
No. 4/3 MSU To Honor Superheroes Sunday Against Alabama

STARKVILLE, Miss. – While many may look at Mississippi State women's basketball as heroes, the No. 4/3 Bulldogs will honor the everyday heroes who serve and protect Sunday afternoon when they host Alabama for Superhero Night at Humphrey Coliseum.
Tip for the game is set for 3 p.m. with ESPNU broadcasting the game nationally on television and online on the WatchESPN app.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite superheroes, and the best superhero costume can win a Bulldog Prize Pack.
Tickets for the game cost $5 for adults and $3 for youth age 17 and under, and they can be bought online at www.hailstate.com/tickets or at the Humphrey Coliseum box office on game day. Bully's Kids Club members and MSU students get in free.

Vic Schaefer's squad brings an 18-0 overall record and 4-0 SEC mark into Sunday's game. The Bulldogs are the only undefeated SEC team and one of three teams nationally without a loss after knocking off in-state rival Ole Miss 76-45 Thursday night in Starkville.
The top-scoring team in the SEC and fifth-best in the nation at 87.0 ppg, Mississippi State turned up the defensive pressure Thursday, holding Ole Miss to a season low in points while claiming the largest margin of victory in the series.
Teaira McCowan paced the offense with 25 points and 13 rebounds, her SEC-leading 13th double-double of the season. The SEC's second-leading scorer at 21.0 ppg, she is fifth nationally making 66 percent from the field and fourth in NCAA Division I in rebounds with 12.7 per game.
Victoria Vivians added 15 points in the Bulldogs' win. The Carthage, Miss., native, rates fourth in the conference averaging 19.2 ppg.
Alabama is one of six teams tied for second in the SEC at 3-1. The Crimson Tide boast a 13-4 overall mark. Alabama claimed road wins at Florida and Arkansas before defeating LSU in Tuscaloosa on Thursday.
