MSU Women’s Tennis To Open ITA All-American Championships Saturday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State's women's tennis team will kickoff pre-qualifying action in the ITA Women's All-American Championships on Saturday in Pacific Palisades, CA., as two members of the squad will compete in singles and doubles action.
MSU veteran Anastasia Rentouli and State newcomer Janina Braun will represent State in pre-qualifying singles action starting on Saturday and ending Sunday, and the two will also pair in doubles competition.
The two Bulldogs will look to advance to qualifying, which begins Tuesday, Oct. 3. Main draw action runs Oct. 5-8.
The junior Rentouli looks to improve upon an impressive 43-20 career singles record at State, 30-15 in doubles. Braun, a junior transfer, will be competing in just her second tournament as a Bulldog. The two paired to reach the doubles semifinals of the Debbie Southern Fall Classic last weekend.
