Stephan James will represent the Bulldogs on the 4x100 and 4x400m relay teams in Oregon
Thirteen Bulldogs Qualify For NCAA Championships In Lexington

LEXINGTON, Kentucky. – Thirteen Bulldogs earned the right to compete for NCAA Championships and All-America accolades over the weekend at the NCAA East Region preliminary event hosted by the University of Kentucky.
An additional six Bulldogs secured berths in Oregon on the final day of the meet Saturday, with one relay group and two solo events.
Tiffany Flynn, an indoor All-American and the school record holder in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump, improved upon her school record with a mark of 13.47m and a third place finish. Flynn will join Logan Boss in attempting to become the first Bulldogs to receive indoor and outdoor All-America honors in the same season since 2015.
2015 1500m NCAA Champion Rhianwedd Price posted a time of 4:15.07 and will look to defend her title after redshirting in 2016.
The men's 4x100m relay group of Charles Taylor, Stephan James, Lawrence Crawford and Philip Smith also punched their tickets to Eugene, running 39.41 for an 11th place finish, while the 4x400m relay grabbed an automatic qualification after running 3:05.00. James and Smith were also members of that group, and were joined by Rasheed Tatham and Juston Waters.
"We are really excited to send 11 athletes to Eugene," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "This is what they have been working toward all season, and to see so many of them have that dream become a reality is special. We are going to get to work this week an make sure we are ready to make the most out of the opportunity in front of us."
