COLUMBIA, S.C. – It is postseason time for MSU track and field, and the Bulldogs are in the Palmetto State where the 2017 SEC Outdoor Championships are being held.

The men enter the week with a No. 22 ranking, the USTFCCCA announced Monday. The women are just outside the Top 25, checking in at No. 34.

So far this season, six Bulldogs have posted marks inside the Top 20 nationally. Logan Boss, the school record holder in the high jump, leads the nation with a leap of 1.89m at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Tiffany Flynn, also the school record holder, owns the 10^th best triple jump in the nation this season at 13.33m. Willie Reed leapt 7.76m in the long jump at the LSU Alumni Gold a few weeks ago, which is the 17^th best mark in the nation this season.

The Bulldog's javelin group of Nicolas Quijera and Curtis Thompson has proved to be on of the most explosive in the nation, with the pair owning the fifth and sixth best marks in the NCAA respectively.

The meet will be live streamed on SECN+ on Friday and Saturday, and the event will be reaired on ESPNU Wednesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. CT

"We are excited to get this week underway," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "South Carolina has an excellent facility, and we are really looking forward to competing against the best conference in the nation. There are 23 total teams ranked here, and we get the opportunity to measure ourselves against that tough competition."
