MSU will compete in a total of 30 events over the two-day event
Bulldogs Ready Themselves for Crimson Tide Invitational
April 06, 2017 | Track & Field
STARKVILLE, Miss. – It will be a classic SEC west showdown as Mississippi State track and field heads to Tuscaloosa for the Crimson Tide Invitational.
After posting seven victories last weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays, the Bulldogs are preparing to travel highway 82 for the home tournament of their cross-divisional rival.
MSU will compete in three events Friday before getting the weekend started in earnest Saturday with an additional 27 events.
Junior Logan Boss is the NCAA's leader in the high jump after posting a mark of 1.85m last weekend. She will take to the pit Saturday at 4:10 p.m., needing an additional .02m in height to break the school record.
"This is another chance for us to go out and compete against some other high caliber SEC programs," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "Last weekend was great for us, but we need to continue to improve every single weekend as we begin the final stretch of the season. We look forward to another opportunity to do just that this weekend."
