Bulldogs Ready Themselves For LSU Alumni Gold
April 21, 2017 | Track & Field
BATON ROUGE, La. – With the 2017 school year coming to a close, Mississippi State track and field is in Baton Rouge for a quick one-day tune up as they prepare for the final stretch of the outdoor season.
It will be a full slate of events for the Bulldogs Saturday as the men and women compete in 31 events at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium. The women's squad enters the week ranked 25th in the nation by the USTFCCA.
The Bulldogs and host Tigers will be the only two teams from the Southeastern Conference at the meet, but will be joined by perennial powers Texas and Clemson, as well as several other teams from around the southeast.
"This is another opportunity for us to fine tune some things before the postseason," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "I've been really pleased with our progression so far this season, so I think we should be able to come out here tomorrow and really compete."
