Bulldogs Close Out Regular Season Slate In Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. – Another good day on the links by senior All-American Jessica Peng helped the Mississippi State women's golf team end their regular season in 11th place at the Clemson Invitational on Sunday.Â

The Bulldogs notched a three-day 13-over 892, marking their second-best performance of the spring season behind an 854 at the UCF Challenge, where the Bulldogs finished tied for third.Â

Sixth-ranked Florida State took the crown for the weekend, shooting 10-under 854.

Mississippi State started the final round going off the back nine, where Jessica Peng and Teri Doss pared their first holes.Â
Â
Peng then went on to birdie holes 11, 14, 17, and 18 finishing the back nine -4. She collected one more birdie on the final nine, ending her day 1-under 71 and in seventh place overall.Â

Doss completed the first nine holes 1-under, behind birdies on holes 14 and 18. She ended the day with a 75.

Athena Yang, and Ji Eun Baik carded a 77 and 78 respectfully, while Katie Holt notched an 80.

Mississippi State concludes its regular season but returns to action for the Southeastern Conference Championship tournament April 21-23 in Birmingham.
