With so much success already, we greatly look forward to the rest of the non-conference schedule, rife with high-profile matchups for both teams before SEC play begins in January. Our men and women both have a pair of games in the next week, three of the four right here in Starkville. Coach Howland's team hosts North Georgia on Saturday at 4 p.m. before hitting the road for a huge game at Cincinnati on Tuesday. Coach Schaefer's team hosts the Little Rock Trojans on Sunday at 2 p.m. before bringing a tough Oregon team to The Hump next Wednesday at 6 p.m. on the SEC Network. Let's pack out The Hump and help keep these winning streaks going!
Â
Announced on Sunday afternoon, our football Bulldogs are officially in the postseason as we will be headed down to sunny Jacksonville, Fla., for the TaxSlayer Bowl on December 30 against the Louisville Cardinals. We are thrilled to accept the invitation and I am extremely proud of our team and its seniors who have guided us to a bowl game every single year of their careers, part of a record-setting eight-year bowl streak by our program.
Â
As you prepare for the game, we have several travel packages available, game tickets available at a variety of levels and a great many events to keep track of. You can find more information here on all that and more as we make our return to the Sunshine State. Also don't forget to consult HailState.com/gameday for all information surrounding our trip to Jacksonville. I look forward to supporting our team as it concludes yet another impressive year of Bulldog football.
Â
It's been a busy week at MSU for accolades as seemingly each day has resulted in yet another honor for one of our student-athletes. I have written regularly this fall about the job done by Coach Anagnost and our new soccer staff, and already in less than one year on the job they have helped to accomplish something that has never been done before. Senior goalkeeper Catalina Perez became MSU's very first All-American soccer player this year and I cannot begin to say how proud of her we all are. We are thankful for her time with us and are excited about the foundation she helped build for MSU soccer.
Â
On the basketball court, everything has been coming up Maroon and White for our undefeated Bulldogs as both Victoria Vivians and Tyson Carter were named the SEC's Player of the Week for women's and men's basketball, an impressive feat for two impressive players and teams.
Â
And finally, we had not one, not two, but three of our football student-athletes named first-team All-SEC yesterday as senior Martinas Rankin, junior Montez Sweat and sophomore Jeffery Simmons all earned the prestigious honor. In fact, with Jeffery and Montez both receiving that title, it's the first time in our history that we've had two defensive linemen named first team All-SEC in the same season. Congrats to all of our Bulldogs for their highly-deserved accolades!

We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals:
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this update. Â
Hail State!
