
No. 5/3 Bulldogs To Hold Teddy Bear Toss Sunday Against Maine

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Coming off an impressive 90-79 win against No. 9 Oregon, the No. 5/3 Mississippi State women's basketball team looks to remain perfect on the season as it wraps a four-game homestand against Maine Sunday afternoon at Humphrey Coliseum.
Tip is set for 2 p.m. Tickets for the game cost $5 for adults and $3 for youth age 17 and under. Fans can get a free ticket to the contest if they bring a stuffed Teddy Bear for the program's second Teddy Bear Toss. At halftime, fans will have the opportunity throw the Teddy Bears onto the court to donate them to needy children for Christmas.
Bully's Kids Club members get free admission to all MSU women's basketball games with a valid membership ID card.
Santa will also be at the Hump for pregame pictures.
The Bulldogs will play their final game in Humphrey Coliseum before traveling to Las Vegas for the Duel in the Desert and the Christmas break.
The contest will be streamed on WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN app via SEC Network +, with Bart Gregory and Charlie Winfield on the call.
Jason Crowder and Blake DuDonis will bring the action on the MSU Radio Network and online on HailState.com/plus and the TuneIn app.

Coach Vic Schaefer's squad ran its record to 10-0 Wednesday night with Wednesday's 11-point win against the ninth-ranked Ducks.
Junior Teaira McCowan had a career night with 35 points. She also grabbed 19 boards and blocked 5 shots in recording her sixth double-double of the season.
Victoria Vivians added her second 30-point game in her last three outings as the Bulldogs shot 53.8 percent from the field as a team.
It was the first time two Bulldogs have scored 30 points in the same game since 1992 and it was the first time two players have notched 30 points against a ranked opponent since the turn of the millenium.
Vivians, who has scored double figures in 15-straight games going to back to last season, is tied for second in the SEC averaging 20.1 ppg this season. The Carthage, Miss., native is tied for ninth in the league in field goal percentage (54.5 percent), seventh in 3-point percentage (40.8 percent) and fourth at the line (84.1 percent).
McCowan's stellar showing, in which she made a program third-most 15 field goals, bumped her season average to 17.4 ppg and 12.3 rpg. Her rebounding average and .658 field goal percentage are both second in the SEC and seventh nationally.
Sunday's matchup will be the second straight and third overall between the teams. State has won both meetings, including an 87-43 decision last season to win the Maine Tipoff Tournament. Vivians scored 26 first-half points while Roshunda Johnson tallied 14 in the final 20 minutes.
Maine is 6-4 on the season and is paced by Blanca Millan, who averages 17.3 points per game. Tanesha Sutton boasts a team-best 7.6 rebounds per game.
