MSU’s Harrison To Open As No. 3 Seed In Pre-Qualifying At Riviera/ITA

STARKVILLE, Miss. – For the first time in program history, the Mississippi State women's tennis team will have four players participate at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships when the event begins in Pacific Palisades, California, Saturday.
The Bulldogs' competition at the week-long event, will start with 84th-ranked junior Madison Harrison as the No. 3 seed in the pre-qualifying draw. She will take on Old Dominion's Natalia Vlasova Saturday at 12:15 p.m. PT. Both players will be looking to win three matches in pre-qualifying to advance to the tournament's qualifying draw, which begins Tuesday.
If Harrison advances, she will join 75th-ranked MSU sophomore Anastasia Rentouli on the singles side. The State duo of senior Jasmine Lee and freshman Lisa Marie Rioux will also represent MSU in the doubles qualifying draw. All players will be looking to advance to the tournament's main draw, which begins Thursday.
The All-American Lee, ranked eighth nationally, is already entered in the tournament's main draw. She returns to the Riviera/ITA after winning the singles consolation championship last fall.
