MSU Keyboard To Receive iOS 10 Sticker Upgrade
September 26, 2016 | Athletics
STARKVILLE, Miss. – After becoming the first collegiate brand to release an official emoji keyboard in July 2015, Mississippi State will now expand their presence in this realm with the addition of an official sticker pack for iMessage on Apple devices.
The Hail State Emoji Keyboard has been enhanced with a new iMessage extension which can be enabled to add a branded "sticker pack" to your Apple device. This addition became available for download earlier today for users who upgrade their devices to iOS 10.
Current users of the emoji keyboard app can update for free in the App Store once they have updated their phones to iOS 10, and then visit their iMessage app store to enable the sticker pack. Bulldog fans who do not currently have the official MSU emoji keyboard can now download the updated app with the added sticker pack for only $0.99.
The iOS 10 upgrade creates a more interactive messaging experience for users and will allow them to drag and drop stickers on top of any part of an iMessage conversation. The integrated sticker pack will allow fans to interact by sharing custom Mississippi State-branded stickers with each other that can be placed on top of photos and messages, or in the body of the conversation.
This is a natural extension of the Mississippi State emoji keyboard which will allow the MSU brand to be more integrated than ever before into the messaging experience for Bulldog fans. A friend asks where you are, they respond by dragging the Dudy Noble Field sticker onto the message screen to then appear in that same location for the recipient. A friend asks if you watched the big game, they respond by simply dragging the CLANGA sticker onto the message. If a friend sends you a photo of them at the game, you can respond back by adding an MSU helmet over their face.
In just the first 14 months since launch, the current MSU keyboard has already surpassed 50,000 downloads, with over one million emojis, stickers and GIFs being shared during that time.
