Cross Country Announces 2016 Schedule

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Looking to build on its best season in program history, Mississippi State has announced its 2016 cross country slate.
The Bulldogs enter the year with high expectations after finishing 17th in their first NCAA Championship appearance last season. The Maroon and White return 10 athletes from the record-breaking 2015 squad.
2016 kicks off in The Volunteer State with a pair of meets in Memphis and Nashville. MSU will compete in the Memphis Twilight on Sept. 3 followed by the Commodore Classic on Sept. 17. The Bulldogs will cap the month of September with a trip to Minneapolis, Minn., competing in the Griak Invitational on Sept. 24.
MSU begins October in Tuscaloosa, Ala. in the Crimson Classic on Oct. 14 before heading to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Pre-NCAA Meet the following day.
The SEC Championship is scheduled to take place on Oct. 28 in Fayetteville, Ark. The NCAA South Region Championship and NCAA Championship will follow on Nov. 11 and 19, respectively.
