Six seniors are among MSU's 2005 baseball letter-winners - pitcher ToddDoolittle of Meridian, Miss., pitcher Eric Ebers of Steeleville, Ill.,pitcher Alan Johnson of Pleasant Grove, Ala., pitcher Saunders Ramsey ofStarkville, Miss., infielder Daniel Tackett of Terry, Miss., and fourth-yearmanager Will Howarth of Cleveland, Miss.
Mississippi State, champions of the 2005 Southeastern Conference BaseballTournament, concluded its 115th season of baseball with a 42-22 record, its17th 40-win season. State advanced to NCAA postseason competition for the28th time overall and made its 22nd appearance in NCAA regional tournamentplay.
