Rain Zaps Diamond Dogs' Series Opener At UT; Saturday Doubleheader set

The game has been rescheduled as part of a Saturday doubleheader atUT's Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The first game is set to begin at 1:30p.m. (EST), with the second game scheduled for a 7 p.m. (EST) start asscheduled. First pitch for Sunday's series finale is 2 p.m. (EDT).
Senior right-handers Alan Johnson (1-2, 4.30 ERA) and Todd Doolittle(3-1, 3.47 ERA) are scheduled to draw starts on the mound for theBulldogs (17-5, 4-2 SEC), ranked as high as 13th in this week'snational polls. The Vols (18-8, 3-3 SEC) have designated and pair ofright-handers for starting mound duty Saturday --- junior Luke Hochevar(6-1, 1.76) and sophomore Craig Cobb (2-1, 4.38).
MSU has opened the season with back-to-back SEC series wins, havingtaken two of three games in Starkville from No. 17 Vanderbilt and asimilar 2-1 showing last weekend against No. 5 Arkansas inFayetteville.
