No. 25 MSU Women?s Tennis To Host Ole Miss For Senior Day Friday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – To close out its 2016 home slate, the 25th-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (13-7, 4-6 Southeastern Conference) is set to host No. 42 rival Ole Miss (9-8, 2-6 SEC) on Friday, April 8, at 3 p.m. CT at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.
The match will serve as MSU's Senior Day, as the Bulldogs will honor Georgiana Patrasc, who is ending her stellar four-year career with MSU.
Junior Jasmine Lee, ranked 14th nationally, earned her 15th ranked win of the season on Saturday, defeating Kentucky's 76th-ranked Justina Mikuskyte in straight sets to help the Bulldogs upend No. 23 Kentucky. Patrasc made a huge jump in the ITA polls moving from No. 71 to No. 33 after having posting wins against the last four ranked opponents she has faced, including the match-clincher against the Wildcats. 115th-ranked Anastasia Rentouli looks to continue a three-match winning streak. Madison Harrison, Kristina Vozniak and Jennifer Brown round out the singles lineup with winning dual match records this spring.
On the doubles side, State's tandem of Lee and Louise Ronaldson lead the way with an 11-2 record at No. 2. Both ranked duos of No. 69 Harrison and Vozniak and No. 85 Patrasc and Rentouli round out the tandem lineup.
The Rebels are coming off a 4-1 loss to No. 5 Vanderbilt on Saturday. Ole Miss boasts three ranked singles players in No. 29 Arianne Hartono, No. 68 Natalie Suk and No. 85 Mai El Kamash. Hartono and El Kamash also team up to form the country's 27th-ranked doubles tandem.

Following Friday's affair, State will wrap up the regular season at Missouri (April 14) and Arkansas (April 16) next weekend before competing in the 2016 SEC Championship in Baton Rouge, La., April 20-24.
