No. 24 MSU Women?s Tennis Hits Road For Mizzou

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Fresh off a 5-2 win versus arch-rival Ole Miss on Friday, the 24th-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (14-6, 5-6 Southeastern Conference) will hit the road this weekend to finish off the 2016 regular season slate. The Bulldogs start the trip by taking on 65th-ranked Missouri (15-10, 2-9 SEC) at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 14, in Columbia, Mo.
MSU's 14th-ranked junior Jasmine Lee (12-7 in dual matches) and No. 35 senior Georgiana Patrasc (16-2) both aim to continue their success in singles play this spring. Freshman Anastasia Rentouli (13-5) climbed 15 spots to No. 100 nationally this week and looks to add to her successful freshman campaign. Sophomores Madison Harrison (9-8), Kristina Vozniak (11-8) and Jennifer Brown (11-6) are also looking to continue their progress after picking up big victories against Ole Miss.
On the doubles side for the Bulldogs, the 83rd-ranked pair of Patrasc and Rentouli picked up a victory against the Rebels to bring their record to 2-1 on the campaign. The pair of Harrison and Vozniak is ranked 42nd in the nation and holds a 2-2 record thus far this season. The tandem of Lee and Louise Ronaldson round out the State doubles lineup with a 11-3 record.
Missouri is led by No. 62 junior Bea Machado Santos (14-7) at the No. 1 singles position. Santos has victories against five ranked opponents this season. She teams up with senior Kelli Hine to form a doubles pair that holds an 8-4 record. Hine and Santos are also both tied for the team lead in singles wins with 14 apiece.
