
Men?s Track & Field Brings Home Three Wins

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Running a personal-best 46.13 in the 400m dash, Mississippi State track and field senior Alfred Larry brought home the win at the Alex Wilson Invite Saturday.
Larry's time is the third-best in program history and currently the third-best in the nation. This is Larry's second win of the indoor season in the 400m dash.
"I'm proud of these athletes who competed today," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. “Alfred had a great time on the track today, as did the 4x400m relay. Everyone came to compete today and has been working hard all season. I'm glad to see the athletes continue to improve. From here we will move into the SEC Championships and hopefully have some women's team members qualify for nationals.”
After his win in the 400m dash, Larry went on to place first in the 4x400m relay with teammates Juston Waters, Brandon McBride and Rasheed Tatham. The foursome ran a time of 3:06.69 to claim the win.Their time is the second-best in MSU history and currently the seventh-best time in the nation.
In the field for the Bulldogs, high jumper Seth Peace cleared 6-10.75 to finish first collegiately in the event. This is Peace's third win in the high jump during the indoor season.
With the conclusion of the Alex Wilson Invite, the MSU women's track and field team will turn attention toward the 2016 SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 27-28 in Fayetteville.
