Baik Leads MSU For Third Day In A Row

Charleston, S.C. – Coming off a solid second round on Monday, the Mississippi State women's golf team finished out the Cougar Classic carding a 904 total to finish 16th overall.
The three-day leader for the Bulldogs was Junior Ji Eun Baik, who fired a solid four-over-par 75 scorecard Tuesday to finish in a tie for 17th place.
One shot behind Baik was classmate Jessica Peng, who turned in a three-round total of 222 total to place 29th.
Logan Chaney and Bianca Theron tied for 89th after firing a 79 and 82, respectively.
Seeing spurts of future greatness out of Elsa Moberly in her very first colligate tournament, the highly-touted freshman fired a 77 for the second day in a row. She was also led the team today in birdies with five.
The Bulldogs have a quick turn around as they head north to Norman, Okla., for the Schooner Fall Classic that runs Sept. 19-21.
