Women?s Tennis Shines On Final Day Of Wolfpack Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. - On the final day of competition, Mississippi State women's tennis continued its successful start to the fall, going 5-1 in the singles session against Georgia State. Today's wins helped MSU finish the invitational 7-3 in doubles play and 15-3 in singles action.
“We won a bunch of good battles this weekend,” Greenan said. “I am happy with our 22-6 overall record. Many of those wins were very hard earned. We saw some things we need to work on but I was extremely impressed with our focus and determination. It was a great start to our fall season.”
Bulldog senior Georgiana Patrasc was able to win against the Panthers' Linn Timmerman after dropping the second set, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. MSU junior Jasmine Lee defeated GSU's Niri Rasolomalala in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0.
Freshman Anastasia Rentouli finished her first collegiate outing 3-0 after defeating GSU's Kristin Rehse, 6-4, 6-1. Transfer sophomore Madison Harrison also went undefeated after ousting the Panthers' Chiara Volejnicek, 6-4, 6-4.
Transfer sophomore Kristina Vozniak was able to finish her first stint as a Bulldog 2-1 after defeating Georgia State's Lara Vovk, 6-2, 6-1.
In singles, Lee finished as the overall champion of the Wolfpack Invitational with Patrasc following as runner-up. Rentouli was named champion of the second flight with fellow teammate Harrison the runner-up. Vozniak was rewarded runner-up of the third flight.
In doubles, the Bulldog tandem of Lee and Madison were named the overall champions. Bulldog duo Patrasc and Rentouli finished champions of the second flight.
