
Bulldogs Conclude Day One Of Jace LaCoste Invite

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Opening night of the Jace LaCoste Invitational led to success for the Mississippi State track and field teams, capturing its first win of the invite from Sydney Rodkey in the pole vault
Rodkey's clearance of 12-00 earned her the win.
On the track for the Bulldogs were Mathew Dunn and Matt Weickert in the 5000m run. Dunn finished in third place with a personal-best time of 14:53.69, while Weickert placed eighth with a time of 15:41.58.
Carmen Brothers finished second with a time of 18:22.97 in the women's 5000m run.
Day two of the Jace LaCoste begins at noon Saturday with the women's and men's long jump featuring Tiffany Flynn, Willie Reed, A.J. Ward, Zachary Taylor and Arzell McCoy for the Bulldogs. Running events begin at 2:30 p.m. with the women's 4x100m relay.
