Ryan Gridley Named SEC Freshman Of The Week

Gridley led the Maroon and White to a perfect 4-0 record this past weekend after recording a .455/.563/.909 statline. The true freshman tallied seven RBIs, six runs, four walks, three extra base hits and a pair of stolen bases. Highlighted by his eighth-inning RBI single in Sunday's 2-1 win versus Alabama A&M, the right-hander drove in or scored the game tying or game-winning run in three of his four starts.
Defensively, Gridley notched a perfect fielding percentage in 23 chances at second base, while taking part in two double plays.
