Women?s Golf Has Solid Final Day At Jim West Challenge

BOERNE, Texas – After a difficult second round on Monday, Mississippi State came out fighting Tuesday to post a final-round 298 at the Jim West Challenge.
Ginger Brown-Lemm's squad shaved six strokes off its second-round tally to complete the 54-hole tournament in 10th place with an 897 team total.
Junior Ji Eun Baik posted her best round of the tournament, shaving eight shots off her second-round score to post an even-par 72. She wrapped the three-day event with a 227.
Jessica Peng continued her consistent play, firing a second-straight 74 to pace the Bulldogs with a 223 total.
Izel Pieters followed one shot back of Peng as she finished the tournament with a 224 following a final-round 79.
Elsa Moberly fired a 77 to finish with the 54-hole event with a 228. Bianca Theron took five strokes off her second-round score, finishing 3-over for the day and 229 for the tournament.
Competing as an individual, Katie Holt wrapped her first colligate event with a 235.
MSU returns to Texas Oct. 25-27 for the Alamo Invitational.
