Pieters Records Another Solid Round For MSU

Boerne, Texas – Junior Izel Pieters led the Mississippi State Women's golf team for the second day in a row at the Jim West Challenge.
The Bulldog's ended the day with 16-over-par 304 and are in 12th place overall.
Pieters finished the 18-hole round Monday at 72, shaving one stroke off her first-round total. Monday's round marks the second time this season she has carded even par.
Junior Jessica Peng started out the round strong, firing back-to-back birdies on her third and fourth holes of the day. She finished with a 74.
Freshman Elsa Moberly fired a 78 in the second round.
Competing as an individual, freshman Katie Holt tied Moberly with a 78 scorecard on the day.
Junior Ji Eun Baik and freshman Bianca Theron both shot 80s.
The Bulldogs will play in the final round of the Jim West Challenge Tuesday.
