STARKVILLE, Miss. – After competing in the Oracle/ITA Masters last week in Malibu, Mississippi State women's tennis player Jasmine Lee travels back to California to participate in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championship this week at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades.
The MSU junior, ranked 23rd nationally, enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed in the 64-player qualifying singles bracket. She will take on North Carolina's 62nd-ranked Whitney Kay on Tuesday. Both players will be looking to advance through qualifying to the tournament's main draw, which begins Thursday.
Lee returns back to action after posting a 1-2 finish at the Oracle/ITA Masters against some of the nation's top collegians, with both setbacks coming to top 20 players. The 2015 First-Team All-SEC selection is 3-2 this fall and 20-10 overall during her two semesters at State.
