Agarwal Advances At Houston Futures

HOUSTON, Texas. – Junior Rishab Agarwal knocked off Hady Habib in the opening round of the USTA Houston Futures on Saturday, moving on to the second round of the qualifying draw.
The win for Agarwal came after dropping the opening set, 5-7, but the junior came back with determination to win the next two sets, 6-3, 7-5. Agarwal faces Ryan Ybarra in the second round on Sunday.
Freshman Niclas Braun was also in action on Saturday, but lost a hard-fought match in three sets to Jonathan Chang, 6-1, 2-6, 6-4.
Agarwal will need two more wins before qualifying for the main draw of the Houston Futures.
