
Women?s Tennis Set To Travel To Purdue Invite

STARKVILLE, Miss. – After a two-week break, the Mississippi State women's tennis team returns back to action in the Purdue Invite this weekend in Lafayette, Indiana.
Seven Bulldogs will be in action this weekend at the event, which will feature 12 singles flights and one doubles flight.
“Our girls are looking forward to these competitive opportunities,” MSU head coach Daryl Greenan said. “Practice and training have been solid since our last event and I feel like we are making nice progress. This Purdue event will provide a good level of competition to test ourselves against.”
Three rounds of doubles will kick off the event on Friday.
MSU's tandem Georgiana Patrasc and Anastasia Rentouli received a draw for the first round of doubles play. They will match up with the winner of Miami (Ohio)'s Erin Rodriguez and Emily Struble and Illinois' Daniela Pedraza Novak and Jade Hilton around 8:45 a.m. on Friday in the round of 16.
The Bulldog duo Madison Harrison and Caroline Kelly will face off against Illinois' Madie Baillon and Jaclyn Switkes at 8:00 a.m. in the first round on Friday.
State's tandem of Louise Ronaldson and Kristina Vozniak drew a bye for the first round of doubles play and will meet up with the winner of Miami (Ohio)'s Ana Rajkovic and Nastia Vasyukhina and Michigan State's Athena Trouillot and Davina Nguyen at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Friday in the round of 16.
A round of singles will follow doubles Friday.
Senior Patrasc will represent State in the Black draw. Patrasc will face off with Kansas' Anastasiya Rychagova on Friday. In the Gold draw for the Bulldogs is sophomore Harrison. Harrison will match up with Notre Dame's Mary Closs on the first day of play.
Freshman Rentouli represents the Maroon & White in the Hammer Down draw, where she will meet up with Memphis' Kathryn Hughes on Friday. In the Purdue Pete draw for MSU is sophomore Vozniak. She will face Michigan State's Davina Nguyen on the first day of play.
Sophomores Jennifer Brown and Ronaldson will take turns representing the Bulldogs in the Purdue draw. Either Brown or Ronaldson will face off against Miami (Ohio)'s Hannah Shteyn. Freshman Kelly represents State in the Schwartz draw. Kelly will match up with Miami (Ohio)'s Ana Rajkovic on Friday.
