
MSU?s Vinti, Bogaerts Advance To Third Round In ITA Prequalies

TULSA, Okla. - Mississippi State men's tennis freshmen Stefan Vinti and Romain Bogaerts easily handled their opponents Saturday to advance to third-round play in the pre-qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships.
Four Bulldogs competed in second round play on Saturday.
Junior Zach White defeated Utah's Devin Lane in straight sets to advance to the second round, where he fell to Virginia Tech's Andreas Bjerrehus, 6-2, 6-7, 7-5 in a tense three-set battle.
Freshman Jordan Angus fought hard in a three-set battle with Old Dominion's Carlos Lopez-Villa, but fell 6-2, 5-7, 7-5.
Vinti faced Nebraska's Marc Herrmann, defeating the freshman in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Bogaerts also found a straight sets victory, taking down UNLV's Johannes Markel 6-0, 6-2.
Vinti will face Memphis' Cedric DeZutter in third round action Sunday, while Bogaerts will face off with Southeastern Conference foe Edward Jones of Tennessee. Should either Bulldog win, they would advance to Monday's qualifying rounds.
