Bulldog Duo Falls In Opening Round At USTA/ITA National Indoors

FLUSHING, N.Y. - In the opening round of the doubles main draw, Mississippi State's seventh-ranked tandem of Louis Cant and Malte Stropp dropped a tough decision at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Thursday.
Facing California's Carlos Cueto and Ben McLachlan, the Bulldog pair had a difficult early round match-up. The Golden Bear tandem proved too much as they took down MSU's duo 8-5.
Cant and Stropp will see action in doubles consolation beginning Friday when they will face Idaho's Marius Cirstea and Andrew Dobbs.
In other action, MSU sophomore Zach White will begin competition at the USA F30 Future in Pensacola, Fla. beginning Friday.
