
Bulldogs Conclude ITA Indoors; White Falls In Future

FLUSHING, N.Y. - Mississippi State's seventh-ranked tandem of Louis Cant and Malte Stropp concluded play at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships with a consolation victory on Friday.
Taking on Idaho's duo of Marius Cirstea and Andrew Dobbs, the Bulldog pair breezed past their Idaho foe 8-3. Cant and Stropp received the at-large selection to the ITA National Indoors after finishing in the semifinals at the USTA/ITA Regional Championships in Auburn, Ala., last month.
In MSU tennis action in Pensacola, Fla., sophomore Zach White was competing in the first round of qualifying action at the USA F30 Future. Facing Vicente Joli-Viera, White battled but was taken down 6-3, 6-4, concluding his play in the tourney.
Today concludes all action for the Bulldogs this fall. State will resume action in January, heading to Honolulu for a pair of matches to open the 2012 dual match campaign. MSU will open home action on Feb. 3, 2012, hosting TCU.
