Lady Bulldogs Complete Day One Of Lakewood Ranch Classic

SARASOTA, Fla. - Today completed the Lady Bulldog's first day of participation in the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic.
Sophomore, Roseline Dion, and freshman, Petra Ferancova, represented Mississippi State in singles and doubles competition.
Roseline Dion was the first Lady Bulldog to compete in the day's singles matches. After receiving a bye, she was ousted by Oklahoma State's Mary Jeremiah 7-6(2), 6-4 in the second round.
Petra Ferancova was also defeated by her opponent, Courtney Collins of the University of Memphis 6-2, 6-1
Ferancova and Dion competed in a doubles match against the Oklahoma State duo of C.C. Sardinha and Malika Rose. The Lady Bulldog pair were unable to clench the victory, falling the their opponents 9-7.
Play will continue tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
