Bulldog Golfers Cap Off Regular Season At Bancorp South Intercollegiate

MState finished 14th among the 15-team field, while North Florida made an impressive rebound in the final round to claim first place, followed by second-place Florida and host-school Ole Miss rounded out the top three.
State was led by junior Evan Hugall who notched rounds of 72, 76 and 75 for a 7-over-par 223 and a career-best individual finish. Sophomore Lee Heaton finished two-strokes shy of Hugall by posting three-straight rounds of 75. Bulldog sophomore Brad Thompson made his sixth-straight appearance for the Maroon and White, tallying a 229 in the season finale.
True freshman Robi Calvesbert faltered in the third round with a 83 following his first and second rounds of 77 and 73 for a 54-hole total of 233. Calvesbert led State in birdies made with eight. MSU sophomore Brooks Bankhead rounded out MState's lineup with a 240 finish.
The Bulldogs will begin postseason play on Apr. 16, when they will tee off in the SEC Championship played at Fredrica Golf Club in St. Simsons Island, Ga.
