Three MSU Tennis Players Advance To Main Draw At Niceville Futures

Juniors George Coupland and Artem Ilyushin and true freshman Malte Stropp each picked up victories on Monday to advance to the main draw of the Niceville Futures.
Coupland won a three-set battle to advance, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4. Ilyushin who recently worked his way back into the Bulldog lineup after battling an injury in the early fall season won in straight-sets, 6-3, 6-1. Stropp who has been a pleasant addition to the MSU tennis squad won in straight-sets as well, 6-2, 6-4.
Senior Max Gregor claimed the opening set in his qualifying match, 6-4, but dropped the following two sets to be eliminated from competition, 2-6, 1-6.
Main draw action will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 2, and results will be made available at www.mstateathletics.com.
