MState Tennis Concludes Play At The SEC Indoors

State's sophomore Max Gregor Smith picked up his first win of the spring in straight sets over Kentucky's Alex Lambropoulos, 6-4, 7-6(5). Despite winning the first set, MSU's sophomore Daniel Sanchez slipped up to Jarryd Botha of Alabama, 3-6, 6-1, 1-0(3).
"We finished the tournament on a positive note," said head coach Per Nilsson. "We're going to have a good week of practice and we look forward to our dual matches."
The Bulldogs will compete in their first dual match of the season on Monday, Jan. 25 against the Ole Miss Rebels in the River Hills Cup, played in Jackson, Miss.
