
MSU Earns Three Top 10 Finishes On Opening Day Of War Eagle Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. ? MSU sophomore Matthew Cameron led the Bulldogs to an impressive start at the War Eagle Invitational Friday. Cameron ran 3 minutes, 44.52 seconds in the Invitational Section of the 1,500-meter run to finish second. Cameron's time moved him into second-all time in MSU history, and also gave him his third regional qualifying mark in the event for the season.
In the field events, seniors Kiley Aguar and Trumesa Banks posted season-best marks in the hammer throw. Aguar threw 168 feet, nine inches to finish fifth while Banks finished eighth with a throw of 143-06.
MSU returns to action tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. with the women's javelin and the first running event scheduled for Noon.
