March 31, 2009 | Baseball
STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Mississippi State-Mississippi Valley State baseball game scheduled for Tuesday night at Dudy Noble Field has been postponed.
"Based on weather information we have at this time and with consideration for travel by the Mississippi Valley team, game officials and our fans, we believe this decision is in the best interest of all involved," said head baseball coach John Cohen.
School officials are working to confirm a makeup date for the postponed game. Season ticket holders should retain tonight's game ticket (Game 15) for use on that makeup date.
Mississippi State travels to Monroe, La., to meet Louisiana-Monroe Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and opens a three-game home SEC Western Division series Friday against Auburn. First pitch Friday at Dudy Noble Field is set for 6:30 p.m.
